The University of Minnesota School of Public Health is accepting applications for the Summer Institute in Biostatistics (SIBS), a six-week program for students entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies who are interested in a biostatistics career.

SIBS does not charge tuition or fees and will run from June 17 through July 26. Applicants must by U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The deadline to apply is April 15.

“Awesome” Opportunities for Students.  (Added August 7, 2012)
One of our accepted medical students wants to make sure students are aware of the website below.  It’s a list of programs from the Office of Multicultural Affairs at UMMC – she completed the “Prematriculation program, which was intense but really helps lay the groundwork for med/dental schools”.  There is also a program that would really be helpful for anyone who wants additional prep for the MCAT and DAT.  http://mca.umc.edu/StudentPrograms.html
