ACT/SAT Requirements

Many of the Health Professions require the Biology and/or Chemistry classes for science majors, BISC 160 & 161 and Chem 105 & 115 (See list of courses required under each of the Health Professions).

In order to register for these specific courses, you must have an ACT Math sub-score of 25 or greater, or an SAT Math sub-score of 580 or greater.

If you do not have the Math sub-scores, you have three different options to attain entry to these courses:

  • Earn A or B in two Math courses: Math 121(College Algebra) and Math 123 (Trigonometry),
  • Earn A or B in Math 125 (Basic Math for Science & Engineering),
  • Earn A or B in Chem 101 (Chemical Concepts).

Note: B- does NOT fulfill this requirement!
