Health Professions Advising Office (HPAO)
University of Mississippi

Noah Munoz

Pre-medical student from Katy, TX

Why did you decide to purse this health profession? I pursued pre-med because of my desire to attend medical school and be able to help those in need improve their health. I want to be someone that people come to and can trust to help them.

What is your major and why did you choose it? I chose a degree in chemistry because in high school, I realized it was one of my favorite classes and one that I found highly interesting. I knew I wanted to major in a science degree, and I felt like chemistry was one subject that I felt passionate about.

How has the HPAO helped you? HPAO has helped me greatly during my time at Ole Miss. I wouldn’t be where I am without it. From the advising office to the weekly newsletters, they offer so much information and aid to help guide me along my journey. HPAO allows me to discover new opportunities and experiences in Oxford and around the community, as well as make sure to aid me in my classes.

What is your most memorable experience working with the HPAO?  The most memorable experience working with HPAO is getting to talk to the prospective students during tour days. Being able to tell students about HPAO and all Ole Miss has to offer reminds me of when I was entering college and deciding which was the best for me.

What are your career goalsI want to pursue a career in medicine and possibly work as a general practitioner.
